Innovative Network on Tissue Engineering: Research, Application and Collaborative Technology Transfer
The project promotes innovation transfer from health research to industrial sector through the development and validation of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine technologies and the creation of a cross-border network that fosters collaboration and competitiveness within the POCTEFA area.
PROJECT CONSORTIUM
The INNTERACT project has a cross-border consortium made up of 10 leading entities in the scientific, clinical, technological and business fields in Spain and France. This multidisciplinary team includes technology centres, universities, hospitals, research institutes, SMEs, sector associations and chambers of commerce that work closely together to accelerate the transfer of innovation in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine.
The complementary nature of their capabilities and the coordination between partners ensure a comprehensive approach to validating the medical devices developed, promoting their market launch and consolidating a stable and sustainable cooperation network in the POCTEFA region.

The Biogipuzkoa Health Research Institute is the leading health research and innovation centre in the province of Gipuzkoa. Our mission is to generate knowledge and results in the field of translational research that will have an impact and add value to the care provided to patients and society in general.

BioTis (UMR 1026 – INSERM / University of Bordeaux) stands as a national leader in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. The lab brings together full-time researchers, professors, clinicians, students and technical staff who collaborate on groundbreaking research that spans fundamental biology, in vitro modeling, and clinical applications.

The Bayonne Pays Basque Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the driving force behind economic development in the French Basque Country, offering advice on business creation, financing, procedures and training. It manages key infrastructure such as the Port of Bayonne and promotes cross-border clusters (tourism, AI, health) to strengthen local competitiveness.

INNTERACT ACTION PLAN
Study of the regional context in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine in the POCTEFA area. Includes market analysis of the three devices and contact with key players and end users. Enables understanding of real needs and opportunities for adoption.
Conducting usability studies and preclinical testing of medical devices. Technical optimisation and definition of the industrial production process. Ensures safe, effective devices that are ready for scaling up.
Definition of regulatory strategy, intellectual property protection and exploitation plan. Promotes technology transfer and the valorisation of results. Facilitates the arrival of devices on the market with guarantees.
Design of the strategy and action plan for the cross-border network in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Launch and implementation of the TissueNet network. Promotes stable collaboration, knowledge exchange and strengthening of the ecosystem.
PROJECT RESULTS
This section will bring together the key advances and results of the INNTERACT project, generated throughout its development between 2025 and 2028. This space will offer an up-to-date and transparent view of the impact that INNTERACT is having on the POCTEFA region and the biomedical ecosystem it serves.
